Our USCG approved Instructors are experienced Captains dedicated to safety, honesty, discipline and competence on the water.

Owned and operated by Captains Fred and Hope Comingore, the Sea Academy Inc. has been a Gulf Coast leader in maritime education since 1978. U.S. Coast Guard approved courses and instructors can help bring your boating skills to a higher level! From the entry level OUPV (6 PAK) captain's license to the Master's Upgrade, and specialty courses, we strive to increase your safety on the water.

AVAILABLE COURSES & TUITION:

 

OUPV (6 Pak): $1095.00 (includes CPR/First Aid)

Upgrade to Master 25GT, 50GT, 100GT: $495.00

Tow Assist Endorsement: 4 Hrs $200.00 (includes application assistance--call to schedule a class)

FCC Marine Radio Permit: 4 hrs. $250.00 (call to schedule a class)

 

LOCATION:

Aransas Pass - 1242 Business Hwy 35 North, Aransas Pass (next to Fowler Lumber)

 

COSTS:

Note: Deposit of $300.00 and Training Agreement are required in advance.

Tuition balance is due at start of course. Seating is limited.

 

OTHER COSTS: (paid to other persons/companies): These will be discussed on Friday.

Physical: Aransas Pass $90.00 cash, (done during the course)

Drug Screen: Aransas Pass $65.00 cash (done during the course)

USCG Fees: $145.00 (credit card or check - no money orders or cashier’s checks)

TWIC Card: $125.25 (done during the course)

 

BRING IN FIRST DAY OF COURSE:

Driver’s License

Current Passport or State Issued Birth Certificate (not hospital issued birth certificate)

Registration or title of your boats

Small calculator

 

OTHER INFORMATION:

OUPV:8:30-5:30, check-in 8:00 Fri. (first day of class), lunch 12:00-1:00

All Other Courses: Call for information

 

**USCG Applications will be given out and explained during class.

Courses without schedules are offered on an as-needed basis; call Sea Academy Inc. to discuss your specific needs and course prerequisites.
